If you’re interviewing at The Server Group, don’t stress too much. If you know your stuff and are honest and open about what you can do, it will go well.

I am the Operations Team Leader at The Server Group and have worked here for four and a half years. My role oversees the whole warehouse and order process, from dealing with suppliers and goods to packing orders and raising appropriate shipping, whether by courier or pallet. I am also a customer’s first point of call for any issues they have with their order, returns or replacements. 

Along with the day-to-day tasks of stock checking and taking parts through to the build room for any builds. I also check all supplier invoices to ensure the prices are correct and raise any credit notes for customers that have made returns.

My day generally involves:

• Managing emails.
• Replying to suppliers about outstanding POs.
• Emailing customers back to resolve any queries they might have.

I would then typically check all outstanding orders that customers have placed and paid for, raising shipping where needed and then going into the warehouse to pick stock and get it ready for a courier collection. I work with sales to provide shipping quotes for overseas orders. As well as processing any goods that arrive during the day and check suppliers have invoiced us correctly.

Outside of work I enjoy visiting new areas of the world. I also love to chill out and watch films, especially action-packed thrillers.
