One of our existing channel reseller customers’ approached us who took In-Win 2U standard chassis from us on a regular basis. They were looking for the ability to customise a chassis to their requirements.

The customer had a specific list of requirements to work to. These included;

1. No front accessible drive bays – A mesh front only was needed along with a space for a branding/logo sticker and the usual LED, Power and USB area.
2. Behind the mesh grill, which would normally be for drive bays the customer wanted custom positioned stand-off’s for installation of their own bespoke hardware.
3. The rear of the chassis remained standard, with the customer wanting to install an EATX (12” x 13”) motherboard and PSU. A middle fan-wall as standard was kept with uprated fans.
4. Chassis was to be installed in an 800mm depth cabinet, so all chassis needed a full extension rail kit.
5. A 550W Single PSU was to be pre-fitted in the factory including full CE testing to meet European regulations.

The customer initially ordered 250 units which were delivered within 3 months from placement of order.

The chassis went through our normal quality checks on batches when arriving with us. Although we have the full capabilities to build into these chassis our customer had their own build facilities to do this so a full assembly in this instance was not required.

Our customer is very happy with the results and continues to place further orders.
