Job Description:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Server Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading servers, storage devices, and related IT infrastructure. You will work closely with our clients and internal teams to ensure optimal server performance and security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.

• Perform regular system monitoring, updates, and security patches.

• Provide technical support and assistance to clients and internal staff.

• Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

• Collaborate with IT teams to optimize network and storage solutions.

• Ensure server environments meet security and compliance standards.

• Assist with backup and disaster recovery planning and implementation.

• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 2+ years of experience in server administration, IT support, or related roles.

• Experience with Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).

• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).

• Knowledge of storage solutions, RAID configurations, and cloud technologies.

• Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and server hardening.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Industry certifications (CompTIA Server+, Microsoft, or VMware) are a plus.
